Phase 1: Concept Design:

It usually takes at least three iterations to nail down a concept design. It is an exploratory phase where the designer understands the true requests of the client, and presents imagery that reflect those desires. Output is imagery or video format.

Phase 2: Develop Design and Bill of Quantities:

Costings! The designer prices the design and creates a shopping list of elements which is called a Bill of Quantities. This allows the client to prioritise the elements, amend their design, contract or expand the project based on their budget. Output is further imagery plus an excel sheet of Quantities.

Phase 3: Project Management

Design is frozen by client, and designer insures all deliverables will arrive on time. Output is a Schedule, likely in Asana project management software.

Phase 4: Installation

The designer and their team are on-site the week, days, prior to event date to supervise the contractors and their installation. Output is in-person supervision and the finished set installation!
